Day 7 Segrada Familia and other adventures.

Stopping by the Caterina Market for some olive oil tasting and fresh fruit juice.
The Segrada Familia- still under construction.
Wow!!  It would be amazing to attend a mass here.
A little school for the workers building The Segrada Familia back in the day.
While waiting for the Passion Tower tour - killing time with funny faces. Can you tell who's who?
Top of the Passion Tower at the Segrada Familia.
The Arc... On the way to the Museum of Xocolata.
Drinks...  I'm posing with Courtney's drink.
This really happened. My sister got locked in the bathroom because there was no door knob on her side.  Luckily there was wi fi and she had her kindle!
Random beautiful buildings.
We went to see the Magic Fountain and happened upon this concert. Apparently Bilboa plays Barcelona tomorrow and it's the last soccer game of 2015. Or so we were told.

Day 6 Barcelona and Parc Guell

American type breakfast.  So good!!!  Best thing was the complete vitamin smoothie - beet, carrot, cress, lime, and ginger. So refreshing.
Parc Guell.  Gaudi and Guell designed this community for the wealthy but Gaudi and Guell were the only ones to live there. Gaudi lived there until his death.
The ironic thing is the house Gaudi lived in was designed and built by another architect.
Photo bomb!!
Highest point of The Parc Guell - The three crosses.
It was very windy up here. And felt a little like you were going to fall. Notice how Seine and Courtney are trying to become 1 with the cross - for fear of being blown off.
Dessert!  My Napolean was great. The horchata was yummy.  Courtney's chocolate bread...  Not worth ingesting.

It was getting a little late and the weirdos were coming out. At the table next to us were 3 men who were obviously talking about us (in another language). Then upon exiting, someone begging for $ blew me a kiss when he saw me looking at his dog. We hurried back to our hotel.
Less jamon here than Madrid but we happened upon The Jamon Experience.
And the gold plated jamon!!!
Selfies!!

Day 5 Barcelona.

Little doughnut people...  So cute.
Casa Mila or La Pedrera - designed by Antoni Gaudi.
Another building designed by Antoni Gaudi. I love the skull balconies.
The upside-down staircase symbolizes the step-by-step construction of the country’s future
A symbol of the city and a meeting place where many visitors stop every day for a drink of water. Legend says that anyone who drinks from the fountain will fall in love with Barcelona and return to the city time and time again.
I love the side streets.
The next few are vendors at the La Boqueria market.
There were tons of fish and meat vendors too but I just wasn't in the mood to take pictures of those.
The city's cathedral.
Various pretty sites.
Pimiento de Padron - these were so delicious!
Recommended by Anthony Bourdain.
In business since 1914 and has been ran by 4 generations of Quimets.
