We're off to Hawaii... or so we thought. Our flight was delayed and we missed our connection in San Francisco. United paid for our room at the Crowne Plaza and gave us $60 in food vouchers.
And we're off again.
Our pool and the workout facility overlooking the ocean.
Even the mushrooms are flower shaped here.
Our daily morning walk to Starbucks over the lava and petroglyphs.
I asked Dylan what her favorite part of Hawaii was... getting family henna tattoos.
We were at 9500 ft at Mauna Kea at sunset. Cold but beautiful.
The banyan trees are incredible. So are the size of the avocados!
Jonathan, Dylan, and Marty are the only ones to make it down to the black sand beach. The hike was muddy and slippery. And the rest of us turned around when it started pouring.
This is suppose to be a hot spring but no one was brave enough to get in. Even though it was clear as can be... you never know what kind of bacteria is breeding since it's stagnant water.
But this natural hot spring which is also fed by the ocean was awesome.
Selfie in the car.
We were playing here and saw a turtle swimming right next to us.
Had to visit the Donkey Ball Factory.
The girls on this trip.
The boys on this trip.
Turtles! This beach had water bubbling up from the middle of the ground.
On our last day here, she met a friend, Callie, from Waimea.
Flight home. Left at 9:30 pm and arrived home at 9:30 am. Dylan said she was going to stay up all night and proceeded to insist that she did. Hmm...
