2019 Wizard of Oz

Acts of Wonder and Westridge present The Wizard of Oz. 

There were 7 Dorothys and 7 Totos.  Not the most organized this year.

Dance Recital June 2019

This is Dylan’s 4th year dancing with Lake Oswego Academy of Dance and I believe 4 years with Miss Julie. 

Grandpa and Site came again to support Dylan.

Last field trip of 3rd grade and 80s day.

Biggest and last field trip of 3rd grade was the Willamette Jet Boat Excursion. Dylan got WET and didn’t love that. 

One of the last few days of school they had dress up days.  Here she is bringing back the 80s!

A very wet Memorial Weekend.

It’s time to play catch up. Life has been busy!!  I just realized I haven’t posted the entire summer...  so here they all come. 

Memorial Weekend camping at Champoeg State Park. It was very wet and cold.

I think s’mores were had for every meal by the kids.

Thank god for the Herberts who had a camper and an awesome propane heater. Both of which saved the day. 

It finally cleared up on the last day for a bike ride to the general store. 

We learned on this trip that Dylan had grown out of her bike.  So...  here she is picking out a new one. 

3rd Grade... DONE!

Last trip to the bus stop for the year.  Time is passing so fast!

Living Museum

What a fun activity. The kids choose a famous person from the series Who Was...  and put on a Living Museum.  They were like a statue until someone came up, then they came alive with a short presentation about their character. 

Dylan was Bob Dylan who was famous for his music which represented social change. He was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama. 

Shannon was Julia Child. Taylor and Saylor were Frida Kahlo, Clara was Amelia Earhart, Ashlyn was Clara Barton, Matilda was Jane Goodall, Hazel was Lucille Ball, Jessie was Cleopatra, Luke was Jesus, Morgan was Martin Luther King Jr, Grace was Selena Gomez, Margaret was Laura Ingalls Wilder..  to name a few of her friends.

It wasn’t the hottest day but...  that’s not going to stop these kids!  Opening day of Greentree Pool.
