Dylan today...

Dylan can finally fit into the sweater that Mimi knit for her. It was so beautiful today... we had to get out and get some vitamin D.

Dylan took her first steps.

No pictures this time... But a few noteworthy/funny things:

1. Dylan took 3 steps yesterday and is continually trying to walk. Sometimes it's just 1 step, sometimes 2 but... she gets up and keeps trying.

2. She (and I) woke up with a goopy left eye. It was funny and sad at the same time seeing her cry at not being able to open her left eye as it was gooped shut.

3. Dylan and Marty have been conversing... and quite loudly. I think he definitely speaks her language.

4. She has been waving goodbye. Really cute.

5. She has totally mastered clapping.

6. She dances (bobs up and down) to all music.

7. She crawls over and climbs into my lap. I love that!!

She has stolen our hearts!!

Weekend in Seattle.

Dylan was an expert at climbing the stairs but didn't know how to come down. Thanks to my mom - she now knows how to come down the stairs. And she loves it. Up, down, up half a flight, down, up both flights, down half, etc... I wish I liked doing stairs as much as she does.

She likes to sit on her high chair tray. I wish I found such joy in stuff like this!

Dylan update...

It's official... she likes ice cream sandwiches!

I took the the rest of it and ate it. This is what she thought about that!

Here she is playing with her dinner plate... This is after she played with her dinner and after getting cleaned up!

Dylan and her doggie... I think Brooklyn is putting on weight from eating everything she drops/throws on the floor.

What's new these days...

1. Dylan still only has 2 teeth but she's eating really well. Her favorite thing right now... chicken. She doesn't like ground beef at all! She used to just spit it out but now she won't even allow it in her mouth.

2. She loves crawling up the stairs. Haven't figured out down yet though.

3. She can walk with the help of a walking toy... getting more and more steady and she loves practicing.

4. We love her more and more everyday!

New toy from Target... Dylan thinks it's a hit!

Things Dylan is doing these days...

I am too lazy to upload pictures at the moment but Dylan is such a character. At the moment, she is a crying and tired character but she usually provides hours of happy entertainment. She has a few funny things she has been doing.

1. She has learned to spit her food out when she is full or doesn't like it. It is really hilarious except for the fact that it requires an outfit change. When am I going to learn to keep bibs handy when feeding?!

2. She has also been throwing things out of her crib or exersaucer and then looking for them over the edge. I'm sure I'll get tired of retrieving them but right now it's so cute to see her face when it goes over the edge. Maybe we'll try and teach Brooklyn to retrieve and return.

3. She took her first steps with one of those push toys. Wobbly but steps nonetheless!

4. And she crawled up all 14 stairs. It took her about 15 minutes with many many rests in between.

February pictures and 9 month stats...

Dylan had her 9 month appointment today and here are her stats:

Height: 27.5 inches - she's in the 50 percentile

Head Circumference: 43.5 cm - she's in the 55 percentile

Weight: 16.13 lbs - she's in the 15 percentile

She still has some rolls but she's getting skinny!
