My sister bought this outfit for Dylan so long ago. I think it was for Dylan's 1st birthday. It is 18-24 months but she is just now fitting into the shorts. I had to take a picture of her in the outfit to send to my sister and this is the pose Dylan chose. Funny girl.

Max Patterson Memorial Park
This was a super fun park. Water. Playground. Huge trees perfect for tree climbing. And an ice cream truck that comes around every so often. Too bad it was so far away in Gladstone. But definitely one we'll go back to. Here's a bunch of pictures of Dylan having fun with her friend Lee.

Cannon Beach and 1st Tent Experience.
We were in Cannon Beach for a friend's wedding and couldn't find a place to stay for the night so... we (Marty) thought why not camp?! This is a first for Dylan and only a second for me. I think we might have to make this a daddy and daughter thing. Unless we get our own stuff... I did not like sleeping in someone else's sleeping bag and air mattress. I was miserable so... there are no pictures from the evening.

Sunset at the zoo.
There's nothing better than a summer day in Portland... especially with all the outside music venues. This is Dylan with her friend Hailey... having fun at the zoo dancing to some jazz music.

Camp Sherman for the 4th of July.
I remember taking a great family vacation with my sister and her family, my mom and dad, and Sape and Jennifer many years ago so I was really excited to go there this year. This year we stayed at Lake Creek Lodge and it was the perfect amount of rustic (without wifi or 3G unless at the main lodge) and comforts of home (fridge, bathrooms, bed).
Feeding chipmunks on the way to The Head of the Metolius River. It just comes out of the ground here and becomes a river.
We went to the Crescent Moon Alpaca Farm. It was so cute. The sprinklers came on and they all ran over to the sprinklers and started playing in the water. After we left I started wondering if the owner is/was a Gamma Phi Beta. She wore a pink polo shirt (which is our color) and our emblem is a crescent moon. I'll have to look that up one day.
The girls playing...
We biked over and walked around the cabins that we stayed in many years ago. Good memories.
First Dental Appointment.
Technically this was her second appointment. I took her in when she was 2 and she cried through the whole knee to knee exam. What a difference a whole year makes! She let them polish and everything. I'm so proud of her... she did so good. There were no x rays so I'm still fearing the worst even though I floss her every day.

Chihuly Glass Exhibit in Seattle
I guess it's payback for all those years as a kid that I never appreciated where my parents were taking me... This exhibit was so beautiful... but Dylan was not on board. She does NOT like to walk anywhere but also does not want a stroller. She wants to be carried... in your arms or up high on your shoulders. And when you want her to be still - she wants to run around. When you want her to get exercise - she is too tired. (Sigh!)

Park with my friend Monroe!
Dylan can't swing on these yet but she loves hanging on them. I remember them being fun too so I decided to give them a try. Conclusion: Monkey bars are not very fun as an adult.
Good friends are hard to come by. I hope these girls will be besties forever.
Daddy and his sidekick.
Racing is fun AND it guarantees an afternoon nap!!

Fountains at The Round in Beaverton.
Dylan and I come here A LOT! It's right next to the gym and close to home. Lots of space to run around and WATER! A perfect place to play according to Dylan.

Wilson Pool
We've had a streak of hot weather so... you'll see a million water posts. There are so many fun places around Portland to cool off. This is Dylan at Wilson Pool which is so close to our house.

Miscellaneous Summer Fun.
Gray and Lila Guild.
Hailey Sun.
Monroe Hopkins, Gray Guild, and Kylie Sun.
Inga, Ella, and Shane... missing from this picture is Asher.
Debbie Matto holding Cameron. Julian Ulmer and Dylan. Dylan could not stop talking about Julian after their first meeting. Wish we saw him more often.
Monroe Hopkins and Dylan. These little princesses love playing dress up!
Sydney Matto and Dylan. I love that they have known each other since they were babies. They are like sisters.
Kellen and Dylan at school. Sydney, Kellen, and Dylan have quite the special bond... they have been in the same class since the beginning.
Dylan and Cash Hopkins. She just loves babies and has such a caring and nurturing nature. She would have made a great big sister.
School buddies!
Lee turns 3!!! Some pictures from his party.
